Fastest Framing in Atlanta!

Img_0332_3 BHCF just broke our own record.  We had a customer come in yesterday at noon with a project that had to get done by 6:00 p.m. last night.  It was a last-minute gift for a friend's birthday.  He saw our 24 hour service and wanted to see if we could assist.  No problemo!  Here's what we did:

12:00 - 12:15 p.m.: Quick Consultation on frame and mat preferences.  We asked a number of key questions on where the artwork would be placed and also his friend's personal style and house layout.  As it turns out, this was to be a piece that was going to hang in the entryway of this person's house.  He opted for UV protection class as there was plenty of sunlight in the area.  We also decided on a simple black and white motif to highlight the artwork and also stay within the customer's budget.  We provided instant transparency into cost estimates so that there wasn't any confusion on what made up the total price estimate.

12:15 - 12:30:  Completed project estimates and customer payment.

12:15 - 1:00 p.m.: Drymount poster to foamboard.  Cut white matboard.

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.:  Cut matboard, wooden moulding/frame and glass.  We have a proprietary technique to make sure that all pieces fit perfectly and there are no gaps in the moulding or overcutting in the matboard.  If you've had anything framed before you know how ugly this looks on a completed project.  If you've had anything framed before, take a look at the corners of the mat and wooden moulding/frame.  If there are any gaps or over cutting of the matboard, you'll know what we're talking about.  Unfortunately, now you'll notice it from here on out!  Don't worry, we have plenty of experience fixing these mistakes so bring it in and we can fix it for you.

1:30 - 1:45 p.m.:  Initial layout and assembly (We make sure that everything fits perfectly again...can't be too careful afterall!)

1:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Final assembly with glue, nails and glass polish...another key issue.  Make sure that there is no lint in your glass.  Minor issue, but again, one of those things that if you see it, you'll always look at it when you look at your artwork...very annoying.

2:30 p.m.:  Called customer to let him know it's ready for pickup.  Reminded him that there was no extra charge.

3:30 p.m.: Customer pickup.

10:00 a.m. today: Customer called and said that his friend loved the piece.  He's stopping by later today to drop off another project...Another satisfied customer that we look forward to working with in the long term!

Thanks for listening!

How are we doing?

After over 20 years of being in the custom framing business, I'm starting to realize that there are things that customers just don't like about custom framing.  I think at Buckhead Custom Frames we address as many issues as we can but sometimes we miss a couple.  Now's your chance to tell us.  From May 16 - May 31st, we're collecting information from you, the customer, about what things we can do better to help you with your custom framing needs.  Anything goes.  Simply click on the "comments" section below, or email us, and tell us what you think.  We want to be Atlanta's best custom framer and only you can help us do this.  Oh, and as a token of our appreciation, we'll randomly select a couple of people to receive a $20 gift certificate.  So get typing already!
